Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- In a food processor, combine the topping ingredients until they resemble a coarse texture.
- In a greased 9x9 inch baking dish, mix the apple filling ingredients, then stir in the water.
- Spread the topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, then cover with foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until apples are soft.
- Let it set for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped topping or ice cream.
