cold butter, cut into cubes or solid coconut oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Prepare the apples by peeling and slicing them, then toss with maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, vanilla, cornstarch, spices, and salt.
- Transfer the apple mixture to a greased baking dish.
- In the same bowl, mix rolled oats, oat flour, pecans, coconut sugar, and maple syrup for the topping.
- Add butter or coconut oil and mix until crumbly.
- Spread the topping over the apples evenly and bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender.
- Serve warm, preferably with vanilla ice cream.
