Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C) and toast oats and nuts for 8-12 minutes until golden brown.
- In a food processor, blend the toasted oats, nuts, and sea salt into a fine meal.
- Process the pitted dates until they form a ball, then mix with the oat and nut mixture to form a loose dough.
- Flatten the dough on parchment paper and roll it into a ¼-inch thick sheet, then cut it into two strips.
- Soak the figs in hot water for 3 minutes, then blend with orange zest, cinnamon, salt, and enough reserved water to form a thick paste.
- Spread the fig filling onto the center of each dough strip and roll the dough over the filling.
- Cut the logs in half and freeze for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Slice into 1-inch pieces and enjoy.
