Ingredients

The balls

  • 1 cup lightly packed pitted Medjool dates
  • 6 tablespoons hemp hearts
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
  • ΒΌ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons chopped dark chocolate (optional)
  • 1 to 3 teaspoons water (if needed)

Topping options

  • shredded coconut
  • hemp hearts
  • unsweetened cocoa powder or raw cacao powder
  • melted dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Process the pitted dates in a food processor until a ball forms.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and process until combined and almost smooth.
  3. Shape the dough into balls and roll them in your desired toppings.
  4. Freeze the balls for 20 minutes until firm or enjoy immediately.
  5. Store leftovers in the fridge or freezer.
