Crispy Baked Tofu
Ingredients
The tofu

organic extra-firm tofu
The coating

tablespoon
extra-virgin olive oil

tamari or soy sauce

tablespoon
cornstarch or arrowroot starch
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess water, then slice into even slabs and cubes.
- Place the cubed tofu on a towel, cover, and press with a weight to drain for at least 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the pressed tofu with olive oil and tamari, then toss in the starch until evenly coated.
- Spread the tofu on the baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, tossing halfway through.
