Crispy Baked Tofu
Ingredients
The tofu

extra firm tofu
The marinade

tamari or soy sauce

maple syrup

sesame oil
The coating

cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine tofu cubes, tamari, maple syrup, and sesame oil. Mix well and let rest for at least 5 minutes.
- Drain the tofu and transfer a third of the cubes to a zippered freezer bag. Add 1-2 tablespoons of cornstarch and toss to coat.
- Repeat with the remaining tofu and cornstarch, adding more cornstarch as needed.
- Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper. Place the tofu cubes on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then flip each cube and bake for another 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve hot.
