Crispy Tofu
Ingredients
The tofu

firm tofu
The coating

cornstarch or rice flour
The seasoning

canola oil

kosher salt
Instructions
- Drain the tofu by placing it between paper towels and weighing it down for 10 minutes.
- Slice the tofu into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- If marinating, do so now.
- Toss the tofu with cornstarch or rice flour to coat lightly.
- For frying, heat oil in a wok or skillet, add tofu, and cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until golden, then flip and cook the other side.
- Transfer cooked tofu to a plate lined with paper towels and season with salt.
- For baking, preheat the oven to 375°F, place tofu on a lined baking sheet, and bake for 20-30 minutes, flipping halfway if desired.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
