Crispy Pan-Fried Tofu

The tofu and marinade

The cooking oil

canola oil
Instructions
- Cut the tofu into ½-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk together vegetable broth, soy sauce, nutritional yeast, apple cider vinegar, honey or maple syrup, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Add the cubed tofu to the marinade and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to coat the pan.
- Once the oil is hot, add the tofu pieces (in batches if necessary) and pan-fry until golden brown on all sides, about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Remove the tofu from the skillet and serve as desired.
