Ingredients

The filling

  • 1 ½ lbs cooking apples
  • ¼ cup maple syrup

The topping

  • ¾ cup coconut sugar
  • ¾ cup gluten-free flour
  • ¾ cup rice flour
  • ½ cup gluten-free oats
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 6 tbsp vegan butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) and lightly grease a rectangular baking dish.
  2. Peel and slice the apples into chunky segments and layer them in the baking dish, then drizzle with maple syrup.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine coconut sugar, gluten-free flour, rice flour, oats, peanut butter, and vegan butter until a crumbly texture forms.
  4. Layer the crumb mixture on top of the apples and bake for 40-45 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately with dairy-free ice cream.
