Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by combining yeast and sugar, then add warm milk and let it sit until frothy.
  2. Mix in butter, egg, flour, and salt, then knead until soft and let it rise until doubled in size.
  3. Divide the dough into four pieces, roll each into a circle, and layer with filling.
  4. Cut strips from the edge to the center and twist to shape the star, then let it rest.
  5. Brush with egg wash and bake until golden brown, then dust with confectioners’ sugar.
