Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Whisk in flour until fragrant, about 10 to 12 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in cold chicken stock.
- Sprinkle in sage and whisk to combine.
- Bring the gravy to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a low boil and cook, stirring regularly until thickened, about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Stir in cream and season with salt, white pepper, and cayenne pepper.
