Instructions
- Combine water, garlic, ginger, and bacon in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Strain out the solids and set the bacon aside.
- In a skillet, heat oil and fry the bacon until browned, adding salt to taste.
- Add soy sauce and mirin to the broth, then adjust salt if necessary.
- Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions and place in serving bowls.
- Ladle the broth over the noodles and garnish with desired toppings.
