Basic Tart Dough

For blind-baking
Instructions
- Chill the flour, sugar, and salt mixture in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- In a food processor, combine the chilled flour mixture with butter and shortening, pulsing until the mixture resembles peas.
- Gradually add ice water, processing until the dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape it into a disk.
- Wrap the disk in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- To freeze, double wrap the disk and place it in a zip-top freezer bag.
- For use, roll out the dough and bake according to your recipe's instructions.
