Tart Crust

Instructions
- Butter or spray a 10-inch pie pan and set aside.
- In a food processor, combine flour, salt, and sugar and pulse to mix.
- Add the cold butter and pulse until a rough dough forms.
- Incorporate the egg yolk and pulse until the dough barely comes together, then add vanilla extract.
- Scoop the dough into the pie pan and gently press it to cover the bottom and sides.
- Place the pie pan in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to prevent rising.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Bake the crust on a larger baking sheet until golden brown, about 13-15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before filling.
