Instructions
- Whisk together flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cut in the cold butter until pea-sized clumps form.
- Add ice water one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough holds together.
- Transfer the mixture to a clean surface and gently press it together.
- Shape the dough into a round disk, wrap in plastic, and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Roll out the chilled dough to a 13-inch round on a floured surface.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a 9-inch pie plate, trimming excess dough as needed.
- Fold the edges under and flute as desired, then chill again for at least 1 hour before baking.
