Ingredients

The cake

  • 2 tbsp cooked quinoa
  • 1 tbsp chia seed
  • 30 grams protein powder or cocoa powder
  • ½ banana banana
  • 1 unit egg
  • ¼ tsp vanilla (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

The toppings

  • to taste unit dark chocolate sauce
  • to taste unit cocoa powder (unsweetened)

Instructions

  1. Mash the banana and add all ingredients to a large microwave-safe mug.
  2. Mix thoroughly until a batter is formed.
  3. Microwave for 30 seconds, then wait 10 seconds.
  4. Microwave again for 15 seconds, wait, then microwave for an additional 10-15 seconds until the cake expands past the mug.
  5. Remove from the microwave and gently flip the mug over onto a plate.
  6. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, honey, or cocoa as desired, and enjoy!
