Bite-Sized Homemade Twix Bars

Chocolate Layer

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a bread pan with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the almond flour and protein powder, then mix in the melted butter and maple syrup until combined.
- Press the mixture into the base of the prepared pan and bake for 11-13 minutes until golden, then cool completely.
- While the cookie layer bakes, prepare the caramel by combining all caramel ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low heat until liquified, then cool.
- Once cooled, pour the caramel over the cookie layer and freeze for 20-30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in a bowl.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and sprinkle with flaky sea salt, then return to the freezer for another 20-30 minutes.
- Once set, cut into bite-sized pieces and store in an airtight container.
