Ingredients

The cookie base

  • 2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

The mix-ins

  • 1 ½ cups chopped Twix candy bars
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons salted caramel sauce
  • to taste sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sea salt, and baking soda.
  3. In a stand mixer, combine the melted butter with the brown and granulated sugars until mixed well.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture and blend until smooth.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped Twix candy bars and chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan and drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  8. Use a toothpick to swirl the caramel into the dough, then sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and edges pull away from the pan.
  10. Allow to cool on a wire rack, then cut into squares and serve.
