Dark Chocolate Orange Biscotti

The chocolate coating

semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate bars, coarsely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare two baking sheets.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and orange zest.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture is crumbly, then stir in the walnuts.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, orange juice, oil, and vanilla extract, then combine with the flour mixture.
- Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface until soft and slightly sticky.
- Divide the dough into two pieces and shape each into an 8x4-inch rectangle on the baking sheets, brushing with egg wash.
- Bake the slabs for 25-26 minutes until lightly browned, then cool for 10 minutes.
- Slice the slabs into 1-inch thick pieces and return to the oven, baking each side for 8 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate and dip each biscotti, then place back on the baking sheets.
- Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
