Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 ¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups Dutch-process cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups toffee bits
  • 1 cup roughly chopped Blue Diamond Oven Roasted Sea Salt Almonds
  • to taste extra sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9" x 13" pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then stir in the sugar until shiny.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in cocoa, baking powder, sea salt, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir in the eggs until smooth, then add flour, chocolate chips, and 1 cup of toffee bits, stirring until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with remaining toffee and chopped almonds, adding extra sea salt if desired.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until set, then cool on a rack before cutting into squares.
