Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8-inch square baking pan with foil and butter.
- Melt the bittersweet and unsweetened chocolate with butter over a bain-marie, stirring occasionally.
- Once melted, remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until thick and light-colored.
- Add salt, vanilla, and cocoa powder, then whisk to combine.
- Incorporate the melted chocolate mixture thoroughly.
- Sift the flour over the mixture and whisk to combine, then fold in the toffee bits.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top and adding more toffee bits on top.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, rotating halfway, until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool on a wire rack before cutting into pieces.
