Toffee Ice Cream Brownie Bars

chopped Heath candy bars

Salted Caramel Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9" x 13" pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, then stir in the sugar until combined and hot but not bubbling.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in cocoa, baking powder, salt, and vanilla.
- Whisk in the eggs until smooth, then add flour and chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes.
- Cool the brownies completely.
- In a bowl, stir softened ice cream with 1½ cups chopped Heath bars and spread over the cooled brownies.
- Top with remaining Heath bar chunks, cover, and freeze for at least 2 hours.
- When serving, run a knife under hot water to cut into squares and drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
