Instructions
- Combine baking soda, cornstarch, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and oil in a small bowl.
- Slice the beef against the grain and mix with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- In another bowl, combine soy sauce, sherry, water, chicken stock, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and brown sugar for the sauce.
- Heat oil in a wok, add the marinated beef, and cook for about 2 minutes until desired doneness. Remove and keep warm.
- Stir fry broccoli and onion for 2 minutes, then add garlic and ginger, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the sauce mixture to the wok, cook and stir for about 2 minutes, then return the beef to the wok.
- Serve over rice.
