Instructions
- Mix yeast, bread flour, salt, sugar, and warm water in a bowl until a shaggy dough forms, then let it rest.
- Stretch the dough by folding it over itself multiple times, resting between folds until smooth.
- Divide the dough into two balls and let them rise until puffy.
- Prepare the sauce by simmering garlic, crushed tomatoes, olive oil, salt, sugar, and red pepper flakes until flavors meld.
- Roll out one dough ball into a round shape and cook it in a skillet until golden brown.
- Transfer the crust to a wire rack, add sauce and mozzarella, then broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the pizza cool slightly, then add basil and serve. Repeat with the second dough ball.
