Ingredients

Slow-Rise Pizza Dough

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Fast and Easy Pizza Dough

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt

Homemade Pizza Sauce

  • 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • to taste oregano
  • to taste garlic powder
  • to taste Italian seasoning
  • optional crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow-rise pizza dough by mixing all ingredients and refrigerating overnight.
  2. For the fast and easy pizza dough, mix all ingredients except flour, then add flour and knead.
  3. Preheat the oven to 475°F and heat the pizza stone if using.
  4. Shape the dough onto a pan or pizza stone and top with sauce and toppings.
  5. Bake for about 12 minutes on a sheet pan or 8 minutes on a pizza stone until the crust is browned and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Prepare the pizza sauce by blending all ingredients until desired consistency.
