Instructions
- Heat the waffle iron.
- Whisk together the egg, milk, orange juice, and vanilla.
- Whisk in the melted coconut oil.
- In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients well, breaking up any clumps.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
- Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to allow the flaxmeal to absorb some liquid.
- Add enough batter to fill the waffle iron without overstuffing.
- Cook the waffle until it stops steaming, about 4 minutes.
- Remove the waffle and enjoy warm, avoiding stacking to prevent steaming.
- Serve with toppings of your choice.
