Ingredients

The salad

  • 6 ounces thick-cut bacon
  • 8 ounces fusilli or similar whole wheat pasta
  • 10 ounces cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 3 tablespoons chopped chives

The dressing

  • ½ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons nonfat milk
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dillweed
  • teaspoon kosher salt
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 to 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Boil salted water and cook the pasta until al dente, then drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the ranch dressing.
  4. Pour the dressing over the pasta and mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the cherry tomatoes, romaine, spinach, chives, and bacon.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve immediately or chill before serving.
