Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Slice the potatoes into small wedges, about ¼ to ½ inch wide, and steam them for approximately 5 minutes until slightly tender.
- Transfer the steamed potatoes to the baking sheets and sprinkle with nutritional yeast, chili powder, garlic powder, sea salt, and cayenne pepper if using. Toss gently to coat.
- Arrange the potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheets, ensuring they are not overlapping.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then increase the oven temperature to 450°F (232°C). Flip the fries and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
