Easy Fruit Compote

Instructions
- Prepare the fruit by slicing fresh strawberries or peaches, or using small berries whole.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the fruit, sweetener, and salt, then bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and mash the fruit to your desired consistency.
- Continue simmering until the compote condenses to about half its original volume.
- Remove from heat and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Allow to cool before serving or refrigerating.
