The farro

The cooking liquid

  • tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Toast the uncooked farro in a pot over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  2. 2. Add enough water to cover the farro by a few inches and add salt.
  3. 3. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20-30 minutes, testing for tenderness.
  4. 4. Drain excess water from the cooked farro and use it as desired.
