Ingredients

The popcorn

  • ¼ cup sunflower oil
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels

The seasoning

  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • cup nutritional yeast flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add a few corn kernels; when they pop, add the rest of the kernels and remove from heat for 30 seconds.
  3. Return the pot to heat with the lid partially off to vent steam.
  4. Shake the pot continuously as the popcorn pops to prevent burning.
  5. Once popping slows, transfer the popcorn to a large bowl.
  6. Drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with salt, and toss with nutritional yeast if desired.
