Ingredients

The popcorn

  • ¾ cup popcorn kernels

The oil and seasoning

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the avocado oil in an 8-quart saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add two or three popcorn kernels to the oil and cover the pot.
  3. Once the test kernels pop, add the remaining kernels to the pot.
  4. Cover the pot, remove it from heat, and wait for 30 seconds.
  5. Return the pot to the burner and shake it gently as the popcorn pops.
  6. When the popping slows to several seconds between pops, remove the pot from heat.
  7. Pour the popcorn into a serving bowl and season with sea salt or other favorite seasonings.
