Ingredients

The meatballs

  • 1 pound ground lamb or beef, or pork
  • ¼ cup finely minced onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh dill
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

Serving Suggestions (Optional)

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper, lightly sprayed with oil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, dill, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Use a scoop to portion the mixture and roll each portion into a meatball, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 10 minutes, check for doneness, and continue baking for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Let the meatballs rest for about 5 minutes before serving with your choice of sides.
