Ingredients

  • cup raw cashews
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2-3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 small clove garlic
  • ½-⅔ cup water

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender, starting with lesser amounts of lemon juice and water.
  2. Scrape down the sides as needed and blend until smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust the flavor by adding more cashews, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, or salt as desired.
  4. Serve the sauce on pasta, chicken, fish, veggies, or bowls.
  5. Store leftover sauce in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
