Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, cut into 1-Tablespoon-size pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare a heatproof bowl next to the stove.
  2. Place the butter in a light-colored pan over medium heat and stir continuously.
  3. Once melted, continue stirring as the butter foams and sizzles.
  4. After about 5–8 minutes, the butter will turn golden brown and smell nutty.
  5. Remove the pan from heat and pour the butter into the heatproof bowl immediately.
