Instructions
- 1. Cut the butter into equal-sized pieces and add them to a light-colored skillet.
- 2. Heat the butter over medium-low heat, stirring often as it melts.
- 3. As the butter heats, it will become foamy and the solids will settle at the bottom.
- 4. Pay attention as the solids begin to turn golden; stir frequently to prevent uneven browning.
- 5. Once the butter reaches a medium brown color and smells nutty, remove it from heat.
- 6. Transfer the browned butter to another container immediately to stop the cooking process.
