Instructions
- Place the unwrapped butter in a medium light-colored saucepan over medium heat.
- Let the butter melt completely, observing the phases of foaming and bubbling.
- Once the butter turns a bright lemony yellow, continue heating until it becomes brown and emits a nutty fragrance.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Skim off any solids on top and pour the ghee through cheesecloth or a paper towel-lined sieve.
- Store the ghee in an airtight container at room temperature, away from light.
