Ingredients

  • 1 lb. unsalted butter
  • 1 piece cheesecloth

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Allow the butter to bubble gently, and watch for a brown rim to form around the top.
  3. Once it smells slightly nutty, strain the ghee through a cheesecloth-lined sieve.
  4. Transfer the strained ghee to a glass jar, discarding any dark solids.
