Instructions
- Melt the butter gently in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Allow the butter to separate into three layers: foam on top, milk solids at the bottom, and clarified butter in the middle.
- Let the butter simmer until the middle layer is fragrant and golden, and the milk solids begin to brown.
- Skim off the foam and carefully pour the clarified butter into a clean jar, leaving the milk solids behind.
- Store the ghee at room temperature for weeks.
