Instructions
- Melt the butter in a pot with a heavy bottom over medium-low heat.
- Allow the butter to simmer until it starts to foam.
- Wait for the foam to dissipate after several minutes.
- A second round of lighter foam will appear; stay attentive.
- When the foam turns golden and brown bits appear at the bottom, the ghee is ready.
- Remove from heat and strain the ghee through a fine-mesh strainer lined with butter muslin.
- Store the ghee in the refrigerator or a cool cabinet.
