Instructions
- 1. Heat the butter in a medium, heavy-bottomed pot over medium-low or low heat.
- 2. Check every 10 minutes, skimming the foam that rises to the surface.
- 3. Continue cooking until the milk solids drop to the bottom and turn deep golden brown.
- 4. Turn off the heat and let cool for 3 minutes.
- 5. Strain the mixture using two layers of cheesecloth over a strainer into a clean jar.
- 6. Pour the strained ghee into a clean, sealable jar and store it.
