cheese cloth
Instructions
- Melt the butter completely in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Scoop out any foam that settles at the top or wait to do it later.
- Continue melting on low heat for about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat when you see toasty brown bits at the bottom.
- Pass the melted butter through a cheese cloth or sieve.
- Remove any remaining foam from the top.
- Store the ghee at room temperature for up to 6 months or more.
