Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Pound the chicken breasts between plastic wrap until thin.
- Place two slices of ham and half the shredded cheese in the center of each breast.
- Wrap the chicken around the ham and cheese, sealing the edges.
- Refrigerate the stuffed chicken for 20 minutes if possible.
- Set up a breading station with seasoned flour, egg wash, and breadcrumbs.
- Coat the chicken in flour, then egg wash, and finally breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and brown the chicken on all sides.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
- For the sauce, melt butter and whisk in flour to make a roux.
- Add chicken stock gradually, then stir in mustard and cream.
- Add shredded cheese to the sauce and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve the chicken with the sauce and garnish with parsley.
