The topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Whisk in milk and Dijon mustard, simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and mix in Swiss and Monterey Jack cheese until melted.
- Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and mix with Panko breadcrumbs.
- Layer shredded chicken in the casserole dish, followed by cubed ham.
- Pour cheese sauce over the chicken and ham, then sprinkle Panko breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
