Easy Turkey & Stuffing Casserole

Instructions
- Cut the bacon into small pieces and cook in a large pot until crispy.
- While the bacon cooks, wash and dice the celery, onion, and apples.
- Add the diced vegetables and garlic to the cooked bacon and sauté until slightly softened.
- Turn off the heat and mix in thyme, sage, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare the bread by drying it out in the oven or letting it stale.
- Cut the dried bread into small cubes and chop the parsley.
- Combine the bread cubes and parsley with the cooked bacon and vegetables.
- Mix the chicken base with hot water and pour over the stuffing mixture, stirring to coat.
- Transfer the stuffing to a large casserole dish.
- Prepare the turkey pieces by rubbing them with olive oil and seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the turkey over the stuffing in the casserole dish.
- Bake uncovered for about 1.5 hours until the turkey skin is crispy and the stuffing is bubbling.
- Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
