Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage links
  • 1 pound cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 4 strips raw bacon
  • 2 ounces onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Grill the sausage or slice it to cook in a skillet.
  2. Cut the cabbage into quarters and remove the core, then slice into thin strips.
  3. Chop the bacon and cook in a frying pan until crispy.
  4. Add the onion and garlic to the bacon and sauté until softened.
  5. Add the sliced cabbage and sauté until wilted, adding it in batches if necessary.
  6. Slice the grilled sausage and add it to the pan to warm through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
