Instructions
- Crack open the coconut using a blunt side of a cleaver or hammer.
- Place the coconut in the oven for about 10 minutes at 350°F to loosen the flesh.
- Remove the coconut meat using a spoon.
- Peel the skin off the coconut or chop it without peeling.
- If using coconut flakes, soak them in warm water for 2-4 hours.
- Blend the coconut meat or soaked coconut flakes with water until smooth.
- Sieve the mixture using a cheesecloth and squeeze to extract the milk.
