Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown flaxmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon celtic sea salt
  • 5 large eggs, whisked
  • ½ cup water
  • cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the flax meal, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the eggs, water, and olive oil.
  3. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing well.
  4. Allow the batter to stand for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  5. Transfer the batter into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf dish.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 30 minutes before serving.
