Instructions
- Lay the pomegranate on its side and cut ½ inch from the top to expose the seeds.
- Identify the ridges of the pomegranate and cut along them with a paring knife, being careful not to pierce the seeds.
- Fill a medium bowl with water and pry the pomegranate apart into sections above the water.
- Use your fingers to remove the seeds from the skin and membranes while submerged in water.
- Skim off any membranes or skin that float to the surface of the water.
- Drain the seeds using a strainer or colander and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
