Pear Balsamic Salad

The salad

6-ounce bag
mixed greens (organic when possible)

Bosc or Bartlett Pear (thinly sliced lengthwise)

dried cherries (or cranberries)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C) and place raw walnuts on a baking sheet.
- Toast the walnuts for 7 minutes, then mix in the remaining ingredients for the candied walnuts.
- Return the walnuts to the oven and roast for another 4-6 minutes until fragrant and golden brown.
- Prepare the dressing by combining all dressing ingredients in a jar or bowl and mixing well.
- In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, half of the sliced pear, dried cherries, and half of the roasted walnuts.
- Drizzle with dressing and toss to combine.
- Plate the salad and garnish with remaining pears and walnuts, serving with extra dressing.
